Courses
TeacherLine
courses are research- and standards-based online courses developed
by leading educational producers in alignment with national standards. Our facilitated, interactive professional development learning experiences offer a supportive learning community and exemplary
professional resources.
Courses
offered directly by TeacherLine Southeast enroll educators from
SC, NC, and GA only, while national PBS courses are open to educators anywhere. The
course content is the same from both providers, however courses
offered by TeacherLine Southeast feature a regional facilitator
and allow for a more local emphasis.
Courses are offered throughout the year and are listed on our Course
Offerings page. TeacherLine Southeast also offers courses on-demand to schools and districts to meet specific concerns.

course environment means there's no need to drive anywhere, arrange
for childcare, or buy books or tapes - everything's online!
- With no scheduled log-in times and flexible discussion board posting requirements, our six-week
courses fit easily into your busy schedule.

free TeacherLine online "practice
course" is available and highly recommended for learners
who have not previously taken an online course.

Classroom Applications
- Courses
relate directly to curriculum and classroom activities, including
designing projects or lesson plans incorporating course materials.

80 courses, for grade levels PreK-12, are offered within
the following categories:
Mathematics, Reading/Language Arts (including ELL), Science, Instructional
Strategies, STEM, and Technology.

High-quality Content

courses are developed in collaboration with leading national
educational organizations (NCTM, NASA, The National Board, McRel, ISTE, etc); every course
is standards- and research- based.
- Developed with multiple learning styles in mind, our content includes the
rich use of technologies such as video, audio, and interactives
to make learning come alive.
- Every
course
features specific tools for integrating technology to teach
covered topics in the classroom, as well as tools to support
delivery of instruction to diverse learners.
- Many courses are aligned to the Common Core State Standards (pdf).

Learning Environment
- Online
discussions allow teachers to share content, ideas and instructional
strategies with peers and reflect on their beliefs. Learners exchange solutions to problems in
text, graphic, and interactive forms.

courses = $145 to $265
- 30hr

hr courses = $345 to $595
- The
courses can be used for re-certification (SC renewal credits,
GA PLU credits, or NC CEU credits), SC PACE credit, or pay
upgrades; graduate credit is available for an additional fee.

PBS TeacherLine offers customized, just-in-time professional development
opportunities for schools/districts. Any course from our catalog
may be ordered up and started at any time for a private group of
your teachers. You can also fund or co-fund courses for your teachers. To learn
