"I began taking TeacherLine courses... to complete my Masters +30 certification. From the first course, I was hooked! I absolutely love the flexibility and stupendous learning potential that has accompanied every course that I have taken.

I am such a strong supporter of this format of learning that I [became] a TeacherLine facilitator so that I can share the knowledge that I have so happily received."

"After completing two courses, I have to let you know how enjoyable as well as challenging they were. Everyday I'd run home to see what my other classmates had posted. It was such a unique experience and I thoroughly enjoyed the interaction and feedback I had with my peers and teachers. I was disappointed when they ended!"

"I would like to add my praise to the PBS TeacherLine course which I took last year... the curriculum covered a lot of essential and practical content. I actually impressed my students and teachers [with] the knowledge I have learned from the course.

Conversing with a group of peer educators in your class gives you broad perspectives from all over the nation. I definitely will consider doing it again."

GA Recertification Credit:

The GaDOE no longer approves courses at the state level; all such approval must happen at the school/district level.

Therefore, we are no longer able to directly offer Georgia PLU credit for TeacherLine courses. Instead, you must ask your district if they will accept the courses for credit.

* You can, however, take a PBS TeacherLine facilitated course for Graduate Credit without obtaining pre-approval and that credit can successfully be submitted for recertification credit.

Per October 2017 GaPSC FAQ guidelines, one way that educators who are no longer working in a school, agency, or other education organization in GA can renew their certificate is by completing six (6) semester hours of college course work. The course work must be earned at an institution that meets the accreditation standards outlined in GaPSC Rule 505-2-.31 GaPSC-Accepted Accreditation for Certification Purposes.

All of PBS TeacherLine's graduate credit partner institutions meet the accreditation acceptance requirements for recertification purposes (accreditation requirements last verified 1/31/18).

Educators are advised to contact their school system and/or the Georgia Professional Standards Commission for any credit concerns prior to enrolling in a course.

  • Visit the GaPSC website

"I am getting ready to register for my 3rd TeacherLine class. I really like them a lot.

I would also add that the format is so easy to follow and the ability to get graduate credit, which I have to have for GA, is perfect.

- Brinkley Pound, GA Educator
