"Greetings! I have been a PBS Teacherline facilitator since March of 2006. I have facilitated national courses as well as local courses for my home state of South Carolina in the areas of technology and reading/language arts. Each and every course I have facilitated has provided me with a rich and rewarding teaching and learning experience!
My affiliation with Teacherline (both as a facilitator and student) has also presented me with valuable knowledge to help me in my role as a high school media specialist here in South Carolina. I am certified in South Carolina in the areas of English, media specialist, and on-line teaching."

enjoy reading a good novel and love the summers when I can kick
back on the beach and read. I also like to shop and work outside
in my yard. I hope that you find your Teacherline course to be a
productive learning experience!
"I have been with TeacherLine since 2004. I am from OH and I earned my BS in zoology at The Ohio State University. I went on to earn my Masters in Educational Administration at Baldwin Wallace College (also in OH). I am married to a Marine and we have two young sons who are 8 and 10. We move often as a Marine family, but at this moment we call eastern NC home. I currently teach gifted students online, but I have taught at the Elementary, High School and Middle School levels earlier in my career (math and science). I have truly enjoyed working with TeacherLine and I hope you do too!
I love working
with TeacherLine. The flexibility is wonderful and the caliber of
content is top notch. I have been fortunate to work in distance
education for years now, first with Educate Online and now with
PBS. I cannot think of a more convenient way for educators to earn
CEUs or graduate credit. I truly enjoy the interaction with
learners and I know they gain valuable insight from each course."
"I am a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Early Childhood through Young Adulthood Library Media. I have published multiple articles in The Media Center Messenger, the official publication of SC Association of School Librarians. Some of these include: National Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, SC Ed Tech, SC Association of School Librarians, SC International Reading Association, SC Association of School Administrators. I was named Media Specialist of the Year for 2007-2008 by the SC Association of School Librarians, and I was the recipient of a 2011 ALA/Carnegie/New York Times national "I Love My Librarian Award."

courses, she is thrilled to be a TeacherLine facilitator, furthering
her online learning in this capacity.

format and flexibility of TeacherLine courses drew me in, but the
discussion boards and content kept me coming back! I enjoy exchanging
ideas with teachers all over the country. Its incredible to
feel the connectedness of teachers all over the country. TeacherLine
is an amazing community!
"I am a 6th-grade science teacher and an avid technology advocate. I have been my school's webmaster for 16 years. While teaching, training (competitive swimming), and attending Furman University, I also earned +30 hours in instructional technology. I do not have a hometown as I am an "Air Force brat." I suppose this fostered my love of travel."
Charlotte has facilitated PBS courses since 2005. She earned her Elementary Education B.A. from the University of South Carolina, Upstate, and her M.A. in Middle Level Science from Furman University. While working on her masters degree, she began taking online TeacherLine courses and earned her +30 almost at the same time. More recently Charlotte became a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Adolescent Science. She is an advocate for using technology in the classroom as a tool for student understanding in all subject areas and frequently presents conference sessions on various technology tools.
"The best thing about facilitating TeacherLine courses is the flexibility to manage my own time. The online environment is supportive, collaborative and enjoyable. I get to meet classroom teachers from all over the country (sometimes other countries, Ethiopia right now...) and realize that we all have the same basic questions and concerns about teaching today."
"I am from Gilbert, South Carolina. Gilbert is a small rural town. I have lived here for 25 years. I was originally from Columbia, South Carolina, and attended the University of South Carolina - home of the fighting Gamecocks! I have a BS degree in Biology and an MAT specializing in Biology. I have level two technology certification from my district, gifted and talented certification, and my National Board Certification in early adolescence science.
I am starting my 24th year of teaching in a traditional high school classroom. Several years ago, I gave middle school science a try. One year of hormonal 7th graders was enough to send me back to the high school. I started out teaching in Aiken County at small rural schools. After eight years, I went to a large newly built high school in Lexington district #1. While at this school, I had the opportunity to work three years in a 9th grade transition program. I really enjoyed the program and the success we felt with our students. I am currently teaching in the school where my children attend. It has been nice watching my older children navigate through high school.
On a personal note, I have three wonderful children. Vicky is 20, Scott is 16 and John is 8 years old. I am happily married to Tony and celebrating 25 years. I also have some furry babies. Two cats, Fluffy and Pumpkin, get along great with our newest addition a chocolate lab named Loki. He is really the god of mischief! I also enjoy teaching adult education classes two nights a week and have several homebound students throughout the school year. My life seems very busy but I do find time to read an occasional good book - especially over the summer.
I have been facilitating PBS classes for six years and LOVE IT! TeacherLine courses allow you to work in a virtual classroom setting with other professionals from around the country. Sharing ideas, struggles, and successes on current, relevant topics. That makes for an AWESOME learning experience for the teachers and translates into success for the students!"
